Vision
our vision is to be a city within a city, loving Jesus as we live right with God, real with one another, redeeming to our culture.
right with God
Are you? You can be! Many people believe that in order to be right with God you have to do the right spiritual exercise or impress Him with your works, or jump through certain hoops to get access to heaven. A lot of us ignore God and then when we realize He could be there, we are worried that we might not be as right with Him as we think!
You can be right with God right now! The Bible says that Jesus came to take our sin upon Himself. He was sent by the Father to live a perfect life but die a sinner’s death, the death you and I deserved. When we ignore or disobey God’s truth, we make Him out to be a liar and we have offended the laws of the universe. We commit high treason against the Creator of the Universe! The punishment can’t be worked out with community service and probation to try and ‘prove your goodness’. The death sentence is the only acceptable punishment that fits the crime of rejecting God and His plan of salvation.
The good news is that you don’t have to face the judgment! God made His Son Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for you and I, to take the punishment and guilt and shame of our crime upon Himself. By placing our faith and trust in Him, we can now be made right with God. The judge made the pronouncement: GUILTY!, and then took off his gown and walked up to you, and said, “I’ll take your place”.
The Bible says that “if anyone is in Christ, the old has gone and the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). You don’t have to hang on to your past; you can be made right with God right now. Won’t you turn your heart to Him and invite Him into your life?
At Reality, we’re here to help teach and encourage you in your spiritual journey.
real with one another
When you think of church, many people see a church steeple with a cross, ornate architecture, pews, and perhaps even icons and stained glass. In essence, we think of a building.
But to get a more accurate picture of the church, take a picture of yourself with your phone! We are the church. The church is a gathering of believers in Jesus who have been called out of the culture to organize locally around the giftings given by God’s Holy Spirit, to submit to spiritual leaders who are in turn submitted to the head pastor, Jesus. We meet together as the church gathered to be equipped for every good work in our faith until we all reach unity and are mature in Christ. We are sent out as the church scattered to be a light and witness for Christ in our culture: in our homes, our workplaces, the beach, the mall, the sports field.
Christians have often been called hypocrites. In a sense, that is exactly true, because we are following the God-Man Jesus, who alone is perfect. We fall short of living up to His standards often and should be known as hypocrites, for that reason: being fallen. But anytime we pretend to be living righteously and we really aren’t then we deserve to be called hypocrites for the same reason Jesus called the religious men of His day: being fake.
We as the church are to be real with one another. At Reality Church, we are open and vulnerable, imperfect and transparent. You don’t have to dress formally or wear something that you aren’t comfortable in. Leave your dress clothes and spiritual masks at home!
redeeming to our culture

Jesus was the most unique individual in all of human history. No other man has inspired more songs, more love and devotion, more worship and adoration, more obedience to his teachings and ideals, more respect for his authority, or more contempt or hatred or derision for who he claimed to be. We set our years and dates around his life, and celebrate his birth and death as national holidays unlike anyone else. Jesus is relevant to each and every one of us and wherever we are in life. He is Lord of the single mom and widowed dad. He is Lord of the backsliding child and the lustful business owner. He is Lord of the weary missionary and the absentee dad. He can still minister to the tatooed barista or homeless veteran, still speak to the CEO or the unemployed grandfather. He wants to bring peace to the broken, the hurting, the abused, the neglected, the suicidal, the teen girl who cuts herself to escape the pain of life.
At Reality Church, we believe that only Jesus can redeem a life, a city, a culture. Our single aim is to reach people with Jesus. To bring Him glory and make Him famous. To build you up in your faith and redeem a broken culture.
Right, real, and redeeming. Is this your vision for the church? Welcome to Reality.
