For more details on defining who we are, Click Here.
We are a non-denominational church that desires to proclaim the truth of God’s Word in the context of western culture. We have been greatly influenced by movements such as Calvary Chapel, Mars Hill Church (Mark Driscoll), and Passion.
We begin, continue, abide, and finish with Jesus. We uphold biblical Christianity and seek to reach the lost with the uncompromised truth of the Old and New Testaments.
While we are currently forming a simpler and more concise statement of our beliefs, it may help to know we agree in principle and practice with the Confessional Statement declared by the Gospel Coalition Click Here
Our ministry style at Reality Church focuses our attention on glorifying and honoring God. We seek not to emulate nor take refuge from our culture, but to imitate Jesus. Jesus was God-incarnate and to imitate Jesus we must also be incarnational: Jesus to our culture.
We are not as much “missions-minded” as we are missional. We believe God has clearly called all believers to be on mission. You are a missionary right where you are, whether you receive funding to reach people for Christ or not. This is the commission Jesus left us with, and for that reason, we support global missional initiatives as well as church planting with a percentage of our donations. We consider ourselves a church-planting church.
Our leadership is structured on the Biblical model of pastor/elder. These are men called and gifted by God to lead, teach, shepherd, and protect the church. Jesus is clearly our senior pastor (1 Peter 5:4) and our pastors are under His submission and guidance by the power of the Holy Spirit. Deacons are men and women who serve the body joyfully in various areas of practical needs. Reality Group leaders lead and facilitate smaller groups under the direction of the pastor/elders. All members/partners of Reality Church are called to a right relationship with Jesus and to make Him famous through their lives, and for that reason, are leaders in their own respect as those in their own personal lives follow their example as they follow Jesus.
